Examples of the work I have created for various assignments
Quickfire Activity
We were given a content subject, (math), a tech tool, (Wordle) and a pedagogy, (Inquiry based learning) and had a short time to come up with a possible lesson using these things. My partner and I created the square wordle below using words that students would have recorded when looking for things with a square shape in their homes. The wordle could then be displayed in class as a reminder of the properties of a square.
Quickfire Activity
We were given a statement and asked to come up with a question about the statement and to represent our work using Glogster. Click the link below to go to my glog.

Student Research and Presentation website
The student research and presentation website was a major assignment. We created a website that uses inquiry to guide the learning. We needed to design the activities with the idea of the new literacies needed by the students in order to access the information from the site.
I chose to create a website that would help students learn about reading non-fiction and researching effectively. Through this process they will also gain new literacy knowledge on how to read and research in an on-line environment. I used Joan of Arc as the website content as we were asked to make a connection between our teaching and Rouen, France where we are studying. She is a historical figure and a lot of digital information about her. Click on the title above to get to the website.

TPACK: In Three Words
We learned about a framework called TPACK, used to help guide thinking for teaching. TK for Technology Knowledge, PK for Pedagogical Knowledge, CK for Content Knowledge, together, TPACK. Each area is important on its own, but should be viewed where they overlap in order to provide the best method and tool for the subject being taught. We were asked to explain TPACK in a movie using images and three words. Click the movie below to watch.
Tech PD plan
We were asked to create a plan for implementing professional development on technology in our schools. Click on the title above to view the plan.
